A late Alireza Jahanbakhsh penalty was the difference as Islamic Republic of Iran came from behind to defeat Japan 2-1 and book their place in the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ semi-finals on Saturday.

  3. What a dirty match.
    Again Japan must have bribed referees. The Chinese referee just ignored 2 fouls : handling & tackle of Japanese players inside the penalty area. The ball hit the hand of No.5 Morita Hidesama.
    The referee also canceled the goal of Iraian team, which was not a offside at all. The Chinese referee even refused to show the VAR and just canceled the Iran team's goal. It should been 4-1 or 5-1.
    I already mentioned many times that Japan always had big help from referees regarding to handling and offside fouls in previous AFC games whenever Japan won trophy.
