Nothing in football was more predictable than if Liverpool were struggling to score and win @ Anfield that the referee would show bias by sending off an Everton player and then not be consistent when a Liverpool player committed the same sin. It's been going on @ Anfield since I've been watching football 40 years ago. Mark my words whether it was the dive by Gerrard in the 2005 CL final, the pen awarded to Liverpool 20 seconds into the CL final v Spurs or this incident on Saturday. As sure as the sun rises in the morning and LFC have been awarded more home pens than any other team in PL history, this level of bias will continue as long as LFC have an unfair influence within the FA, Uefa and the PL.

23. The referee actually pointed to a corner for the penalty. So to suggest he was biased or paid is incorrect. Incompetent, yes! Poor, yes! It was one of those penalties either sides fans would have been enraged about it not being given. If it was a Liverpool arm in their penalty area, Everton fans would have accused the ref of being biased. My bigger question. Why have they screwed with handball that we don't know what is and isn't handball anymore? Get back to real football when we knew the rules clearly.
