  1. The point of football is to score goals. The purpose of the game is being defeated if legitimate goals are not being awarded and it should be seen a grave breach of the integrity of the game.

VAR is not the problem. In a off-side call VAR improves the fairness of the game. The ignorant human's using the VAR system are the problem. In this case the human's undermined the point of the game and the system completely.

  2. Get your facts straight. Audiences are not just brainless recipients of information. "Human error" you say … Well, there are at least 4 people in the VAR booth. and there are 4 referees on the pitch, … so a lot of humans making the very same error simultaneously… which adds up mathematically to a lot of human errors in the same direction … "It happens to all all of us … just get on with it" … Everybody talks of an unprecedented error … so no, by definition it obviously does not "happen to all of us".

  3. Yep they're humans too , they can be bribed and recieve gifts and do special favours ,Sounds like they don't want to use var when Liverpool needs it. Wouldn't be surprised if they got paid by oil money.

  4. This is not just an "human error". It's more about procedural justice.
It's not an incorrect judgement by the referees, they had decided that it's a goal (note that determing offside is not done by the main referee).

  5. Nonsense, this doesn't happen to other PL clubs.when is the last time the VAR concluded a goal had been scored – and somehow failed to tell the referee.
