Scoring twice would also mark a little piece of club history as Leicester are only two goals shy of becoming just the 13th team-ever to hit 800 PL goals!

    Successive wins against fellow relegation rivals Norwich (3-1) and Burnley (2-0) has significantly eased Brentford’s relegation fears, and they now travel to Leicester for the first time since 1992 knowing another win would mark their third successive top-flight victory for the first time since 1946!

    However lapses in concentration, especially before half-time, threaten to scupper the chance of securing that record, as the ‘Bees’ have conceded 12 PL goals between the 30th minute and half-time. With opponents Leicester one of the most prolific sides in that period (G10), expect a potentially under-fire Brentford rearguard leading up to the break.

    Players to watch: Harvey Barnes has announced his return to action by contributing to two of Leicester’s last three PL goals (G1, A1) and boasts an unbeaten personal H2H record against Brentford (W1, D2). Meanwhile, two goals for Brentford’s Ivan Toney would see him become the first player to score 2+ goals in three successive PL appearances for a promoted team since Kevin Phillips in 1999!

    Hot stat: Leicester are winless in their last five PL games played on a Sunday (D2, L3).

    Tightening up that porous defence will be Marsch’s number one priority, particularly as the Yorkshire club have conceded 2+ goals in each of their last six league away games (W1, D1, L4). The American manager has something of a reputation for making sides under his charge hard to beat on their travels though, as he’s lost none of his last three first away games in charge of a new side (W2, D1).

    Players to watch: Vardy’s return to fitness is a huge boost for Leicester and he’s both scored and assisted against Leeds in two prior PL H2Hs. Meanwhile, three of Daniel James’ four league goals for Leeds this term arrived away from home.

    Hot stat: Leeds have conceded an average of 2.6 goals before half-time across their last five league matches.

    Burnley were brought back down to earth with a bang on Tuesday night, falling to a 2-0 home defeat against Leicester and missing the chance to clamber out of the relegation zone. Another chance is just around the corner though, but with just one win in 15 Premier League (PL) attempts against Chelsea (D4, L10), the prospect of Burnley triumphing appears slim.

    Even a clean sheet would be admirable, and it would see Burnley avoid a league defeat against their more illustrious visitors in any given season for the first time since 1970/71, following November’s 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. However, Sean Dyche’s side have conceded an average of 2.71 goals per-game across their seven PL home meetings with Chelsea (D1, L6)!

    With the joint-most PL away clean sheets (seven) this season and another shutout (over 120 minutes) in the lost Carabao Cup final last weekend, Chelsea will travel north feeling confident despite the slight cloud hanging over the club and Russian owner Roman Abramovich. Team boss Thomas Tuchel’s excellent PL record in Saturday 3pm kick offs (W5, D1) does provide further belief that the Londoner’s should win this game.

    Still in a battle for a top-four finish, Chelsea also travel attempting to secure three successive PL victories for the first time since October. A fast start will give them every hope of achieving that ambition, especially with Chelsea having scored before half-time in 14 of their 15 PL meetings with Burnley, while losing just one PL game when scoring first this season (W12, D5).

    Players to watch: With Burnley netting three goals in their last two home league 3pm kick-offs, Wout Weghorst will be eager for his first Turf Moor strike, while at the back, the ‘Clarets’ have kept a clean sheet in 50% of Nathan Collins’ PL starts this season. Up against him is Romelu Lukaku, who has contributed in all four of his PL away games at Turf Moor (G3, A2).

    Hot stat: There hasn’t been a PL goal at Turf Moor between the 51st-60th minute this season.
