Everton were perhaps the closest they’ve ever been in their history to relegation, the title race between Manchester City and Liverpool went right down to the final day, as did the scrap for survival between Leeds and Burnley, the battle for a Champions League group stage spot between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, and a fight for a place in the Europa League group stages between Manchester United and West Ham United.
