The game may have been played amidst a heatwave, but it was Gabriel Jesus who was on fire as he netted twice on his home debut to help beat Leicester City in a topsy-turvy encounter.
The Brazilian striker opened his account for us with two goals in the opening 45; the first a sumptuous piece of play that saw him chip the ball into the top corner from inside the area, before he nodded in from close range 13 minutes later to put us in control.
And despite a Wiliam Saliba own goal halving the deficit, we bounced back within two minutes thanks to Granit Xhaka, and repeated the trick again when Gabriel Martinelli netted moments after James Maddison had once again given the visitors hope.
That proved to be enough to secure a second successive win at the start of the season, and kick our campaign off in the perfect fashion.
The game kicked off with temperatures in the mid-30s, but we were indebted to the coolness of Aaron Ramsdale just three minutes in when Wesley Fofana linked up with Jamie Vardy to glide into the box, but our number one stayed big to repel the defender’s shot.
Perhaps due to the conditions chances were initially at a premium, but we gradually began to dictate proceedings. Firstly, Jesus rippled the side-netting with a header from a Gabriel Martinelli free-kick, and then Bukayo Saka clipped a perfect pass towards Xhaka at the back post, but his header struck the woodwork.
But on 23 minutes, we did get on the scoresheet as Jesus opened his Emirates Stadium account in sublime style. He began to move on the left before finding Martinelli, who wriggled his way into the area to pick out Xhaka, who laid the ball back to Jesus. The striker stopped it dead, before quickly and casually chipping the ball over the 6’3” frame of Danny Ward into the top corner from 10 yards out to send our supporters wild.
That piece of champagne football came just before the first scheduled water break which briefly slowed down proceedings, but 10 minutes before half-time Jesus doubled his tally with a much more routine finish than his first. A dangerous corner from Martinelli forced Vardy to inadvertently flick the ball backwards, and Jesus was perfectly placed to nod home from a couple of yards out.
Jesus was thriving and twice in quick succession he had chances to complete a hat-trick – firstly latching onto a long ball by Ramsdale, spinning past Jonny Evans and was only denied by a well-timed tackle by Wilfred Ndidi, and then moments later he was played in by Martinelli only to see Ward smother his effort.
But despite our dominance of the first half, it looked like we may harshly see our lead halved from the penalty spot when Vardy raced onto a Castagne pass and initiated contact with the onrushing Ramsdale. Darren England pointed to the spot, but after being instructed by VAR to look again via the monitor, he reversed his decision.
That ensured we escaped into the interval with our two-goal lead intact, but just eight minutes into the second half the Foxes saw their deficit reduced when a long ball by Evans was flicked goalwards by James Justin, and Saliba could only watch as his attempted header back to Ramsdale creeped into the net.
That could have sent nerves jangling right around the ground, but just two minutes later we showed great character to make it 3-1. Ben White saw his cross fumbled by Ward right into the path of Jesus, who laid the ball off to Xhaka to grab a deserved goal.
But the Foxes wouldn’t quit and with 16 minutes remaining Maddison linked up with Kalechi Iheanacho on the right, and the Nigerian switched the ball back to the playmaker who drilled the ball between Ramsdale’s legs from a tight angle.
However, once again we showed excellent courage to go back down the other end and restore the two-goal cushion. Martinelli started and ended the move, winning back possession in the middle of the park, getting back into space and when found by Jesus, he steadied himself before unleashing a low inch-perfect strike into the bottom corner to score in his third consecutive Premier League game.
With 10 minutes remaining Jesus looked destined to complete his treble when Saka forced Ward to save with his feet, but the rebound proved too tricky for the hitman to keep on target, and despite Thomas Partey and Eddie Nketiah going close late on, enough had been done to secure six points from six.

ABOUT CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB
Founded in 1905, Chelsea Football Club has a rich history, with its many successes including 5 Premier League titles, 8 FA Cups and 2 Champions Leagues, secured on memorable nights in Munich and Porto. Famous former Blues include Peter Osgood, Gianfranco Zola, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Didier Drogba & Eden Hazard.
Erling Haaland bagged a brilliant brace of goals on his Premier League debut as City’s defence of our title got off to a flying start at West Ham.
In what was a superb all-round performance by Pep Guardiola’s reigning champions, Haaland gave City a deserved 36th minute lead from the penalty spot with what was the very first shot on target of his Premier League career.
The Norwegian centre forward then doubled down on a dynamic debut display by firing home from Kevin De Bruyne’s pinpoint, precision pass on 65 minutes to seal a deserved win.
The feat saw Haaland become only the second City player to score a brace on his Premier League debut following Sergio Agüero in August 2011.
And it capped what was a perfect opening to the 2022/23 campaign for City.

Diego Forlan played very well all the matches, with 5 goals. He showed his technique, commitment and his intelligence and shot to the Uruguayan’s team service. They are not only the most successful club in the world but also the richest in the world according to the latest survey done by the money league which publish their research results annually. Yes, its true that Real Madrid are the richest club by income for the season 2006-2007 probably for the season 2007-2008 too but the results are not completed yet.
So what makes Real Madrid not only the richest club in the world but more significantly, the most successful as well.Well the statistics don’t lie and more often then not speak for themselves. For any club to be successful, only two titles could and should be given credit, The league and the Champions League, the rest are mere formalities as you all know (it does not take much to beat Sao Paulo in a cup final) so I am going to ignore the minor trophies here, lets have a look at most of the major football clubs track records against the Madrid Galacticos.
Manchester United have won only two Champions league trophy, one was way back when it was known as the European cup and the other in 1999,they have 16 league titles.
* Barcelona have also won two champions league trophies and 18 league titles
* Liverpool have won the competition FIVE times and they have 18 league titles
* Inter Milan have 2 champions league titles and 15 league titles
* Ac milan have 7 champions league titles and 17 league titles
There are some other major clubs as well but they have just started to grow so lets just ignore them for a moment.
Finally, Real Madrid has won 9 champions league titles and 30 league titles. Now I have listed all the great clubs of Europe above, not even a single club can match or come close to the records set by the Spanish powerhouse. Thus proving what I stated earlier that real Madrid is the undisputed champion of champions.
Real Madrid is the only team that holds the Cup in property, having won the title five consecutive times.
If you’re been looking at soccer coaching courses, then perhaps you will have narrowed your choices down a bit, or perhaps you are still none the wiser.
if you still haven’t decided, here are 10 tips for choosing the right soccer coaching course for you:
1. Have you heard of the coach / company? If you have heard of the coach or the company, are their courses recommended because they’re good, or is the coach just cashing in on their name. Are they well established, or a new company? If you haven’t heard of the company, it might be that the coach is a well respected coach, rather than a former player.
2. What success has the coach had? If they’ve been a successful professional with international caps, or coached at the highest level, or discovered some of your favourite players, then they are probably worth listening to. If they used to play non-league football, but never made it as a pro, are they good enough to teach you?
3. What success have they had? If you know some of the players that they have coached, or some of the successes they have achieved, then this may be enough to convince you that this is the right soccer coaching course for you.
4. Are they local? Depending on how far you have to travel will determine how much you or your children get out of the course. If you have to travel a couple of hours each way, for a week, it makes the days very long and tiring, and so less enjoyable for parents and children alike
5. If you’ve found a couple of courses, what is the price difference, and is it worth it? Might it be worth paying more for a nearer course, or to have a more renowned coach?
6. What else do they offer? If it seems like there are more gifts and goodies than coaching, is this really the course you want?
7. What do competitors offer? By knowing what competitors offer, you’ll be able to see which courses represent the best value, and will be better for you or your children.
8. What contact is there afterwards? Is there any follow up, or feedback, how will the coaches know if their course is a success?
9. Is it just soccer coaching, or is there more to it. What about how to impress a scout, or how to get over a loss of form, or how to prevent injuries?
10. Can you contact someone who’s been on one of the courses you’re considering? You’ll learn about the coaching methods, and whether this course is really right for you or your children.
Now you know more about Soccer Coaching Courses, you’ll be able to choose the right one for you or your children.
