Wow what a really shitty analysis of Chelsea not talk about Mareskas style of play?
All three of them are talking nonsense. No sub.
To compare they played the same system is poor analysis. The reason Liverpool took advantage of the mistakes is because the players where in a system that pressed. United don't have that. Also, Slot is only 3 games in. You'd expect errors in build ups at this stage. After 2 years of 7 Hag, they should have had that sorted.
Jon Mackenzie a mainstay on both this channel and the TIFO atlethic channel he is getting two (probably not huge) bags
Possession means nothing!
He has won two trophies list the managers that have won more in the last two years ?? He’s been crap in the league and he must improve on that but. Where can’t he say what he’s achieved. The idiots just want to drive there narrative.
Manchester United are the second most successful team in England since Ten Haag took over and that’s factual. The media attack on him is very unfair I think
Amazed at how well Slot has slotted in. I held my horses after the first 2 wins but 3-0 at old trafford is nothing to sniff at even if United are at a bit of a low
More quiz 😫😫😫 me like quiz 😼😼 me want moreeeee 😈😈🤤🤤🤤
Saying there is basically no difference between the United and Liverpool approach to defence or build up is laughable analysis im sorry
This was great analysis of FSGs systems and approaches to the club that allow for long-term development and sustainablity, and also that acknowledgement of Klopp’s that it was becoming too much about him, which while might have been good in the short-term, would actually be bad in the long-term. This is because the club would increasingly rely on Klopp for too much rather than its own systems, processes and culture. This works for the greats, like Sir Alex, Klopp, Pep, but these are rare, so you need the club systems and culture all in place to support a good coach for long term success. Love it. I think FSG get waaaaay to much stick from very short-sighted fans. From a football club management perspective, they do a pretty darn good job and make very few mistakes. A lot to learn from there for any type of business model.
Perfect. More of this
Tim sounds bitter and this is not objective analysis of the team or manager. Why are y'all so emotional about united? Lol what's the issue?
Biggest fan of you
Hi
I really worry for everton would be a travesty to compete in efl in there new stadium
11:00 LFC midfield – Slot eluded to this in his press conference. That LFC will face tougher tests with 7 games in 21 days coming up. Slot also mentioned how there is something for the squad to “prove” and, unlike Klopp, Slot acknowledged that this squad fell short at the end of the last 2 seasons.
How can they say United and Liverpool are almost identical with minor tweaks? Different manager and players. Liverpool have better players and a manager who knows how to get the best out of them. Doesn't matter if the tactics are similar. How they are trained and how good the players are implementing those ideas will make a massive difference, hence the 3-0 result. That's not going to change all season. Simple as that. No comparison at all. The bald bearded guy sounds like a United fan looking through rose tinted glasses like every other United supporter. In other words, "we've got a team of players as good as Liverpool and we just need to get it right." Yet they still spend hundreds of millions on players. Same BS for the last decade.
Love the way Tim describes ETH as “the same manager”😂 and “pathetic”.
So disingenuous to say Ten Hag was the antagonist with Shearer/Lineker post FA Cup. They literally poked him about being sacked. Calling him “lost” & “pathetic” in the presser are strong opinions to levy.
Jon is so quick to always talk about the numbers even when theyre spurious. I would argue it's more misleading so early on as there's assurance to it
I was surprised the panel didn’t discuss Pep’s other major tactical change from last season, scrapping a back 2 with wingbacks (thank God for that) and instead moving to back 3 with an inverted defender. Last seasons defensive setup was so frail abs open to counter attacks that we saw a 133%+ increase in goals conceded relative to the treble season for example. At least with the back 3 and inverted defender, we should be substantially more efficient at the back
The only thing I learned about this new season is that the refs will still try to screw us up.
This bald bloke is a typical journo. Ten Hags job isn’t to constantly provide in depth answers to why United are playing shit.
Saying he has won trophies is just a spin that their PR team will have agreed on.
Typical journo complaining when people don’t give a shit about their questions
nice content
These guys never kick a ball in there lives
Mackenzie failing to mention that Ten Hag has had 3 years with his team and Slot has had 3 months. 🥴
Not too much…. Lets not over analyse sooooo early… But Utd have a lot of work to do again….
"but how many of them were deserved!"
killed me!!
😂🤓🫏
what we've learned so far? the refs are still corrupt and owned by city…next question?
PGMOL hates Arsenal
To be fair to Everton the Braithwaite injury and subsequent replacement by Keane was devastating to the team. If the club operated normally Keane would of played his last game 2 or 3 years ago.
The tactical blueprint is irrelevant if the team is shite! What pointless analysis
It felt like men vs boys with Liverpool & United even w/ LFC all but in first gear. Tactical philosophy is all well & good but when without actual execution it means nothing. Easy to see the diff in possession but for me it was the movement / intensity off the ball… just a night & day diff.
What we learn is that Man City pay the referees to make sure arsenal don’t win cause three years in a row we had bad decisions go against us Bentford Newcastle Brighton
The Athletic FC Podcast, This is perfect! I subscribed right away!
What’s that guy talking about regards to Man Utd trying to play like Liverpool. lol
That Hurzeler is lucky
Is this guy in the glasses a Man Utd fan, cause he's defending Man Utd with his life😂😂😂😅😅
My club villa have had a positive start with 3 tricky games ,west ham away never easy ,arsenal home hard and Leicester away early newly promoted tricky aswell, total for the 3 games 6 pts , i was hoping for 4pts so there's the bonus. Our next 3 games are everton and wolves at home and Ipswich away im looking at 7pts ,so i was expecting 11pts from our first 6 games and we are 2pts infront of that at the moment, and maybe get to 6th place in the final premier league table , B+ so far and we rarely get a mention on these shows
