Spurs never finished out of the big 6 which is admirable. But….. 0 titles and a club that usually goes down europa/champion league just to come out and win nothing.
That’s not how you define “biggest flops”. There are many factors to consider other than lowest league position. Look at the difference in points and finish position between that season and the previous season, the amount invested by rival team to over take them, players departures, injuries, etc……
One of those teams mentioned had their squad ram raided, losing several key players, another had 64 individual injuries, to 19 out of 22 outfield players, with the average player missing 20% of all league games. How is it fair to call them a flop under those circumstances?
I still believe Chelsea will be back in top 4 competing for titles again someday, but idk how soon. I think the board is learning and we've made better transfers recenly when comparing to our first transfer window under Clearlake. But I still think they're somewhat clueless. They're so dead set on signing only young players, they've made this project needlessly lengthy and painful. Young players need experienced leaders around them to learn from.
Don’t mean this in a negative way at all but it always looks like you’re holding in a smile even when you’re not smiling. That’s one of the greatest superpowers to have, just means you have a positive aura to you. Btw, love the vids, mate 👊
I know Manchester United has the lower finish, I think Chelsea was the biggest flop because they just compete in the Conference League and United in the Europa League
A few side notes regarding this video: 1.Liverpool in 2015/16 (first season under Jurgen Klopp) finished 8th, but they still went all the way to the EFL Cup and Europa League Finals. 2.Manchester United in 2016/17 also won the EFL Cup and Europa League. 3.Arsenal in 2019/20 and Manchester United the last season won the FA Cup, which saw them playing in Europa League the next season, despite finishing outside European spot in Premier League. Arsenal would have even qualified for the Champions League 2021/22 had they managed to beat Villarreal (2nd leg) and Manchester United in Europa League 2020/21!
After watching the recent league phase draws for both Europa and Conference Leagues, I'm pretty sure the only realistic chance went to Chelsea in the Conference League.
Chelsea's draws are more favorable, but if they didn't win the Conference in the end, it will be a "disaster". Look how Spurs did so bad in the 2021/22 season. Even though the group stage exit was all because they had to forfeit their crucial game against Stade Rennais due to the COVID crisis, the club got embarrassed heavily by Slovenian minnow Mura. Spurs at that time were the highest ranked team based on the UEFA coefficients, with Roma being 2nd (and were eventual winners). So yeah, favorites doesn't seem to have a better results in every major competitions.
As for Spurs and United, well, they will most likely sacrifice the domestic cups if they want this. Otherwise, it will be a complete clown show for them 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Everyone talks about how bad Chelsea is nowadays (they definitely are don’t get me wrong) but I feel as if Man Utd avoids a lot of the slack for how much they really fell off, I think their downfall was far worse

Manchester United fall off needs to be studied in schools
Spurs even bottled the Biggest Flop trophy
no worries it is surely going to be united again, i doubt they can finish on a single digit place.

you really ask yourself "is this really entertaining as people say?"
i find this league boring bc you know basically who will finish in top 5~6 every single year
2013-2016 Southampton was something else🥲
I know Manchester United has the lower finish, I think Chelsea was the biggest flop because they just compete in the Conference League and United in the Europa League
How the hell do Southampton finish 8th 😱
But Man United won the FA Cup in 2024 so Chelsea is technically the biggest flops that season.
How the hell did everton finish 7th in the 16/17 season?!?!

Spurs being 5th almost every time 😂

Chelsea's 12th place in 2022/23 EPL season is simply shocking indeed.
