  1. I found my predictions, and I'm genuinely very happy with them except for two glaring errors – Bournemouth and Burnley. Got a distance of 38 in spite of those, but I'm more disappointed with the Bournemouth miss since I think everyone expected Burnley to do better.

  2. If you make predictions for the Euros and predict England to win, you will be disappointed. they have the curse playing up front, the king of all bottlers.

  3. I think Arsenal have been the best team overall this season, everything went well. I don't see how they repeat it next year. They have been relatively lucky with injuries. Also their record against the big 6 is going to be hard to replicate.

  4. I love Ollie Watkins and think he's class, but the other HUGE difference between him and those around him is that he's played 3,000+ minutes. None of the others are coming very close to that. So it's great that he's able to keep fit, but it does skew the stats as well.

  5. Actually saw United one coming. Never rated Onana since his Ajax days, It was him that gifted Spurs 2 goals.
Also United was riding on Rashfords PR of goals, without him they would of been mid table.

  6. the League Predictor app is shite, hasn't let me look at my predictions since before New Year but, happy to say I beat James (just) with a distance of 38 and 7 correct

  7. your arguments for why newcastle would struggle completely fall apart in the face of the fact they have set 2 records this season for injuries, both the number of players injured, and the total days lost to injury over the course of a premier league season, the focus on the champions league had diddly squat to do with focus on league form, it was purely a result of playing the same 11 players for 4 weeks in a row that caused so many issues, and being forced to rush some players back earlier than should have been or some playing through injury because of simply not having a choice, that's what caused the season to be like it was, if those injuries didn't happen, or were reduced to what would be called 'acceptable' levels, they they would have finished much higher than it ended up being, not to mention a VERY dodgy set of decisions all season regarding awarding them penalties, should have had one against MU but were denied for literally no reason, didn't even get a VAR check, just shows how corrupt the refs are to not even review a clear and obvious error on field, and lets not even get started on the utter shambolic decision in pairs that should never have been given as per the official UEFA rulebook on the subject.

all in all it's the best of a bad situation that could have been significantly worse had the team and the staff dropped the ball with all the issues faced this season.

  8. If Newcastle didnt have an inury crisis, like, crisis crisis (along with the tonali issues) they would've easily finished higher. Yes injuries are part of the game but you can't predict that. So yes, the stick you got for that prediction is just as valid as it was 9 months ago.

  9. Let me give you a hot scope here, I think the odds on Palace getting a young Swedish midfielder from Frankfurt is relatively low. I expect Glasner to go in for Hugo Larsson from his old team. The reasoning? It was his pick, he deemed the player crucial for the future of Eintracht. The new manager doesn't utilise the Swede at the same extent and hence I believe this to be a priority of Glasner for next season.

  10. I know that nowadays fans really value the G/A per game or per 90. Which is fine from an individual player perspective / comparing to another. But if you try to flip the perspective to a coach / teams perspective I would argue that how many starts is also an important stat. You are reliable, the team (should) know your movements pretty good, and its up to the coach to change system, not because of injuries or suspensions. So would like to point out that (according to the stats) Watkins has made 37 STARTS(!) in the premier league, which is pretty insane. So yes, that my help his totalt G/A and damage his per 90. But dude, thats a really positive stat from a coach perspective.

  11. Thats funny everyone argue that United Season was terrible because of the injuries. Thats true.
But it's not a argument for Newcastle, Brighton, nor liverpool?

  12. Jimbo you beat me by 1 point! I measure success by the “distance” and got 41 points this year, my best ever! 🎉

Got MCI ARS CRY LUT SHU exactly right, getting some bold NEW & CHE calls pretty close.

MUN & TOT were my worst performers, but overall pretty happy with how it all went!
