When I think of Chelsea the first thing I think of is the Mourinho team of the mid 2000s and how solid they were defensively. Poch has never felt like the right fit, not only because he’s former Spurs, but also is known for expansive attacking play, whereas Chelsea’s roots are in playing deep and being clinical on the break
They should of kept Tuchel as bad as he is . His defensive style kept them top 5 in the league
Bear in mind, potter had one of the oldest and experienced squad in the league with less injury….

Potter had the core of a champions league winning team, Poch has a bunch of expensive kids who have never played together coming into this year
All potters team needed was to put the ball in the back of the net and they would have been cooking, the amount of times we had twice as many shots but conceded to a counter attack to lose 1-0 was annoying insane. Under poch I don’t see anything that gets me excited for the future
If we improve our defending, we could get europe. Our defence is holding this team back.

This doesn’t even take into account that Chelsea have much better players than last season. Poch has had much better circumstances than Potter, but has barely improved them at all. Potter did better than Poch with what he had

I think if a player as dominant in the attack as Cole Palmer was in the 22/23 Chelsea team who didn't conceded much, they could've gotten top 6
