Luton, Burnley, Sheffield United to recreate
Imagine this happened at the end of the season:
1.Burnley, Sheffield United, and Luton Town all relegated.
2.Leicester City, Leeds United, and Southampton all promoted (though they must hope Ipswich Town lost so many remaining games).
It is unlikely to happen like in Vleague, Hanoi Police won the league after the first year promoted to the league
This is happening again probably.
It would be even worse if they got relegated and Leicester, Leeds and Southampton got promoted, would be a waste of a season
Everton x barely surviving
It’s crazy how much fulham has improved since promotion
Ffs Everton escaped again
Coincidentally, Everton in 17th place as usual
Imagine if Leicester, Leeds and Southampton get promoted this season and Burnley, Luton and Sheffield United get relegated this season. We'd have the same 20 teams in the prem just like 2 seasons ago.
welp, seems like everton is playing with the relagation zone again, to be fair, its because of the england FA
For me the most shocking thing is that city have actually been relegated in the premier league yet no one talks about this for some reason
This year is just and outlier. People forget so quickly that Forest, Bournemouth and Fulham all stayed up. Fulham even finished 10th.
RIP Burnley
We should have stayed up that season, no doubt about it
Everton have been escaping relegation for so long man…
cool . now tell us why please
Luton's gonna pull it off. Not so sure about Burnley. But we all know what's gonna happen to Sheffield United…
I wouldn't call all the promoted teams staying up "the reverse". The reverse would be all the relegated teams being promoted.
Tottenham
So it's always Everton who are 17th and avoid relegation always by luck… lol
IM THE 4.9 THOUSANDTH LIKE EVERY TIME I TAP IT IT CHANGEX
Everton survivors
Relegation battle is generally more interesting than the title battle
As an American, I will never understand why Europeans won’t put salary caps on their sports. If you’re born in some town like Middlesbrough what’s the point? Your team will never win a premier league title. Don’t you guys get bored of the same 3 or 4 teams winning every year. It’s not really an achievement if you buy a title and don’t play a lot of level competition. And I’m a man united fan so you know I have know reason to make it more fair for the little guys.
Everton might just pull a Houdini on Luton, and we'd have a second relegation of all three promoted teams.
Just another reminder that Leicester really did the impossible dream.
I'm rooting on Luton to stay up this season
Forest
Sincere question: Right now, Leeds and Leicester are at the top of the Championship table. Southampton is currently fourth. Assuming the results hold and Southampton were to win promotion, would that be the first time the three relegated teams were all promoted back in the same year?
Everton are almost in the same situation again vs Luton this time
Burnley is getting relegated again this season.
This season all 3 promoted teams might be relegated.
And how often do three relegated teams immediately come back up to the PL? Would be interesting to know if this scenario of Luton, Sheff Utd and Burnley all going back down and Leicester, Leeds and Southampton coming up has ever happened before
I didn't know there had been four occasions when all three newly promoted teams had stayed up – I only remembered the first one, possibly because it was such a long time before it happened again!
