I think in regards to Man City, there's a bigger picture to look at before the Premier League, the FA etc. decides on what punishment seems fitting for them. Man City are a big 6 club that has a huge influence over the Premier League's product, off and on the pitch. So simply kicking them out of not only the Premier League, but the entire football league itself would have some fairly noticeable consequences, such as the marketing side of the Premier League, as well as viewer numbers etc. which of course the Prem would want to avoid by all means necessary. Everton don't generate anywhere near the attention Man City get, so of course punishing them wouldn't really effect anything, especially given they've only been given a deduction based off ONE charge. So this is certainly more than just punishing Man City appropriately for their wrongdoing, but also how it would affect the Premier League's product if found guilty and sanctioned.

point one, comment on the Everton thing. Whinging about Man City is churlish. But lets play devils advocate for a second. Drop City out of the EFL and they will make a mockery of that decision with a youth squad that will rip the heart out of the competition. Who does that help.

I think the prem have set their standard now when it comes to punishing clubs so I for one can't wait until they deal with Chelsea and City. Everton was easier and quicker as they were open and honest whilst dealing with the officials. I fully expect City to get relegated at the bare minimum going by the punishment Everton received for 1 ffp rule break.

Why should we get a ten point deduction when the top 6 did a breach and only get a 3 million fine each and everton av gone past the 105 million by 19.5 million because of the stadium not through buying players and the rule states if you go over the 105 Millon it can't b to give you an advantage which players would it's because of the stadium why we've gone over which isn't an advantage

I can't believe that any one would try to defend them .
1 , they have taken a player or players that might have made a difference in another club .
2 they may have taken league and sponsors money away from other teams .
3 teams may have finished higher or not been demoted because of them .
City is the same and if found guilty city must have all the awards taken from them .
Cheating can not be tolerated in any sport.
The problem with City, is that the FA and PL are scared to touch them.
This is a hard penalty! Crazy in my opinion. Remember that Portsmouth was deducted 9 points when they ran into administration. I think everton will appeal this!
Get rid of FFP and allow all clubs to spend what they like.
Man city will never get kicked out of the league. They are the face of the premier league. The premier league will find a solution that benefits the league & that will mean man city won’t be hurt much, the rest of the league will be fuming
