  1. As an American bandwagoner for City circa 2016, I for one welcome our post-Haaland bandwagoners for this season. That said, seeing Jesus thrive at Arsenal makes me happy (until we go head-to-head, that is).

  2. in NFL/NBA terms: there are the big 6 and the rest.

    The Big 6 are
    – old Money :
    – – Man Utd is your Cowboys .. good in the olden days, shit in the past ten years, popular in the UK and outside, always overhyped ah.
    – – Liverpool is your Packers.. huge history in Europe and UK, lots of devoted followers .. always have MVP caliber players (your Aaron Rodgers).. some late success (better than GB as they actually won sth.)

    – New Money:
    – – Man city: is your Golden State, dominance over the past 5-6 years, best coach in the game, some of the best players in the game, they have alot of money … like a lot and they get a lot of hate from old money.
    – – Chelsea: the closest is your Miami Heat* the team that is always up and down, they win, they crumble, fire coach and rebuild, win again, falter, fire coach and win again and so on .. always have world class players, tough team to beat, tough mentality, they have had success domestically and in Europe, also hated for their toughness and relatively new money and success. they had the same owner in 20 years now a new American one.

    – rest of the big 6 :
    – – Arsenal: your Eagles, rather rich history, they had one unbeaten season and living of it ever since. In reality they are a joke, and everyone knows it is a matter of time before they crumble (funny enough they are having a stellar start of the season just like the Eagles !!)
    – – Totenham: Is the team that tries and fails, tries and fails. never won nothing and never will, a solid team that sometimes really comes close to winning but they fall short before the finish line (as expected) solid, nonetheless.

  3. As a fellow suffering United Fan from the states … I felt great shame when you claimed that Varane and Martinez were not as “talented” as Maguire.

That had to be and editing/script typo.

  4. Lifelong Leeds fan here, Leeds born and bred etc. Don't sleep on us, but also don't be expecting top 6 every year. Best case scenario, we crack it once in the next five years, but if you read up on the history of the club, you'll understand how big an achievement that would be. Also maybe being biased, but Elland Road has the best atmosphere in the league, for all their quality on the pitch, none of the 'Big 6' would make the top 6 for actual home atmosphere. If you're looking for a solid team that are by no means a glory supporter's choice, a proud history and an electric atmosphere at the games, we're the club for you. Also maybe Everton, but they don't have any Americans so we win, right? 😅

  5. As an Irishman a life long football fan and a life long Arsenal fan. Stay away from us we'll only give you high blood pressure, please support Leeds or be a glory hunting patriot fan and follow man city

  6. To be fair, they didn't let anyone go for free, all those players had already decided to go and where they were going. It's hardly on the new owners

  7. As a American Jets fan, even though it was last year I decided to be an Arsenal fan and the only thing good about about team seemed to be Leno keeping the scores down, this year I am happy to see them doing alot better, even if my favorite player is no longer on the team, but at least they got Ramsdale.

  8. To be fair to Todd Boehly, he is also the owner of the Dodgers. Do you really expect him to be able to run a football club. All he knows is throw money at things until it works. Except this isn't the MLB. Those players still need to perform.

(It should be stated this is coming from a lifelong Angels fan. I'm really just salty the Dodgers are winning, albeit through simply buying their way through the league, while I watch my team continue to implode year after year while they spend half their salary cap on a player who can't stay healthy for more than a month at a time)

  9. Fulham (in addition to Mitro) has the added plus of having two American regulars as part of their setup, Tim Ream and USMNT left back Antonee Robinson, in addition to being the former home of several US National Teamers over the years, including but not limited to, Clint Dempsey, Brian McBride, Carlos Bocanegra, Eddie Lewis, and (briefly) Kasey Keller.

  10. I have been on Manchester City's bandwagon since 2008. I watched a Derby between City and United in 2008 and decided to root for the underdog. I saw Manchester United as the Dallas Cowboys of the English premier league. And like the Cowboys, you either love them or hate them. I hate the Cowboys, so it was natural to hate United.

  11. How is VVD getting slander for that goal against United like it was his fault? 😂like yeh we expect him to make world class blocks amd tackles cause it’s VVD but like that was millers fault for sliding in
