  1. Quality is permanent.rember that coutiho is quality it just didnt work out in barcelona cos of the environment and pressure was too much gerrard knows him.just dont put preasure on him and ask him to play fr3e like a kid on beach in brazil when u do that t coutinho he can kill anytime any secons

  2. Gerrard is no dumb.coutinh is confidence and freeedom player.meaning he needs freeedom to expresss himself with no limitation and bit ofconfidenxe booster from.manager when u combine that.coutinho is deady assss i fear for teams.

  3. The year Leicester city won the epl did they have a so call big name player but what they had was a team that was willing to work for each other ,so if you think one player will just magically make this team a unbelievable team hmmmmm. And I like continho as a player .

  4. you say it hasn’t worked out for him at barca, obviously u have to consider the price tag and wages but in terms of goals and assists he’s contributing 1/3 games which isn’t awful from an attacking midfielder position, if he was played consistently in the right position and was backed he’d do alright like his first season there, he’s played 8 games this season so far in 4 different positions u can’t expect him to get consistency constantly playing everywhere

  5. Not celebrating too much just yet, we needed a new defensive midfielder… so as a Villa fan, i'd be happier if the Bissouma rumour turns out to be true vs. getting another luxury forward, we already have enough of those types… granted Coutinho is a different level than the Traore's, El Ghazi etc.

  6. Villa are never going to make this signing permanent just due to his wages. Does anyone really think that villa can afford a player on €300,000 a week? It’s fine now with Barca paying 65% now but villa won’t be picking up that tab

  7. As a liverpool fan, im absolutely buzzing to see him back in the prem and next better than liverpool who else but Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa. I know he hasn't trained with villa yet and its too early but imagine his comeback being against man utd ?

  8. You lost me at rangers was a huuuuge club. While it’s a club full of history, it isn’t huge… no manager really signs for a club because of the years it has been in existence. Money talks… all managers will want to have pulling power in the transfer market… to make their jobs easier.

  9. Funny how when a player comes to the premier league for the first time from abroad they question whether they’ll be able to adapt to and handle “the best league in the world” but when players like coutinho and hazard who were great in the premier league leave and fail in other leagues they never stop to think that maybe all the top 5 leagues are pretty much equal and the premier league isnt better than them.

  10. As long as Phil can stay fit and have the desire to let go of the past few seasons, he could use this few months to get to help the team and see how SG wants him to play.

  11. Nothing wrong with Coutinho leaving Liverpool when he did. He had given his heart to the club for so long, and at that point he felt the need to go to another big club. He could have never predicted his injury issues and the shambles that Barca was gonna be in. Hopefully he can come back to EPL and be back to his elite brilliance as before.
