We were beaten on the road at Manchester United on Thursday night after a topsy-turvey game ultimately went the way of the home side.
Unbeaten in our last three visits to Old Trafford prior to this clash, we started on the front foot, zipping the ball about and keeping the hosts at arm’s length.
Having come close with an in-swinging corner that caused chaos within the first minute, we eventually made our set piece prowess count for the opening goal – but it was not without a hint of controversy.
That arose because when the ball was delivered into the box, United midfielder Fred stepped on David de Gea’s ankle and the goalkeeper went down. The loose ball fell to Emile Smith Rowe, and he finished smartly.
Cue mass confusion. It had to be a goal didn’t it, as no Arsenal player was involved in the clash with De Gea? Eventually after much debate, the goal was given and our fine start had its reward.
But after that we were pushed back by the hosts, who although not at their best, were causing problems – and eventually they found their equaliser just before the interval, Bruno Fernandes poking home from close range.
We started the second half on the front foot and Gabriel’s header soon brought a good save from De Gea, while at the other end Aaron Ramsdale had to be alert to deny Cristiano Ronaldo.
But the Portuguese wouldn’t be denied and minutes later he converted from Marcus Rashford’s cross to put the hosts in front.
But back we came, and an incredibly open start to the second half soon had another goal as Partey picked out Martinelli on the right, and his cross found Martin Odegaard and the Norwegian found the corner with a pinpoint strike to equalise.
The game remained open with Aubameyang having half a chance with a fierce drive that De Gea saved, but at the other end a tangle between Odegaard and Fred ended in a penalty for the hosts – and Ronaldo made no mistake from the spot.
We pushed and pushed to claw our way back into the match once more, but there was to be no late equaliser and we ended empty-handed from a frustrating night.

??⚾♻????????? Kwa sababu ya upendo. Mungu alimtuma Mwanawe Yesu Kristo afe badala yetu. Siku tatu baadaye alimfufua kutoka kwa wafu. Sasa.

This lost hits hard!!! despite being a close 3-2. lost. Just salty. Of all the team it had to be CR7 scoring his 800th and 801th goal against us.

Thank you admin for genuine highlights. We can see the areas which require corrections
Laga Everton vs Arsenal
"@Arteta "Did you know, Nuno Tavares was one of the causes of the Guners defeat with a wrong pass when heading, Why do you still play players who always blunder"
Arteta out
Not respect
Thank u for posting our winning scenes LOL
Arteta thank you for the good work but enough is enough is time for you to leave Arsenal is A BIG club for you.
New manager I'm sick of this arteta out
Lol Maguire crying like a baby to the ref to review VAR for Fred pen, hiding like a coward when he hauled down Tomiyasu…. THis guy is a United captain, what shame he brings to the armband. Even the 70's & 80's United captains of thoise humiliating years of nothingness were better than him.
Actually this word easy to undertand or make problem on your braind i ko undertand
Cr7 the KING?
Their commentators are so boring ahah
You could see how Laca was frustrated when he came in. How can we still play Auba and have Laca on the bench??? Frustrating evening. Should have been a win for sure
Worst refereeing I have seen in a long..very long time.
Arsenal players : suiiiiii?
Ronaldo: hehe suiiii

I'm a liverpool fan .Arsenal were robbed by var. Fred clearly left his leg as far back as possible and went down on slight contact.

The best defense we have to keep the ball in ourselves is the attack
But its footy anything can happen
As for the pen madness like i said madness mate ?
I was shocked to see Mo start over Sambi. Side passes, back passes and slowing down the play. Doesn't look where a player is when defending just runs back and ball watch and it still gets pass him ?. Pepe didn't even get a bring on over Eddie huh aint he the record signing an all.??
Saka should have tried to volley those last 2 in box balls he got. He needs to score more as well
this match is good for both team even my fav team is lose. MU need win with new coach so the fans not mad at him n want change coach again, its good for arsenal cz they will learn a lot for the mistake in that match n know they must sell auba for new striker or they'll buy isco from madrid
Where. KT3????????
Ini kenapa muncul di berandaku yah
Cristiano to Ben White : beat me? no no no kiddo ?
Cr7 el mejor
The commentators seems not interested doing this
Out
Commentary is a bore
The Ars commentator is very boring
We have a favourable run of fixtures in our next six PL games and should comfortably be in the top 4 come new year if we get maximum points. The tougher matches will be played at home (West ham and wolves) so there should be no excuse. A Pepe + Martinelli combo might be worth trying in these games. Auba and Laca should play from the bench and Nketiah offloaded.
