can someone answer 2 questions I have, (1) why are Everton the only team being fined, ? their are a number of teams breaking the same rules and worse, man city, Chelsea, even man utd are up their, the list is long ,
and (2) why is it 3 guys make this decision ? surely it would make sense to have like a 12 member board or more, maybe 1 representative from each club to keep it less biased, and none to be allowed to gang up on a rival, and make the penalty for the ones that attempt that be eliminated from the prem, it is truly amazing how in this age this kind if thing is happening, neville said it and I agree with him, i quote " it's not football anymore" unquote,

Just when the Toffees were seeing some light at the end of the tunnel they get hit with this rubbish. What about man City rorting the system?!!! As a Liverpool fan this is very unfair.

It's not excessive the punishment they got. There has to teeth in these decision making otherwise they won't take it seriously. The problem is that the Premier league has not treated bigger clubs that way and that's the failure. The Citys and Chelseas need to have same or worst treatment if found guilty

How will fines and embargos help? They have fallen fowl of overspending, so you give them a fine and or restriction of player acquisition it will only make things worse economically.
They can play their way out of this points deduction if they have the fortitude and it will cost them nothing financially, mainly due to the fact they have the deduction at this stage of the season and not announced near the end.

Honestly, I don’t know if it’s that harsh and I think Everton can count themselves quite lucky.

We’ve all known Everton we’re breaking ffp rules for a while now. The fact it is only listed as £20 million can only be because that’s the closest they could get with some incredibly smart and round about financing.

Ultimately, they’d most likely be in the championship already if they hadn’t spent that money. Instead they’re in the prem and they have a 10 point deduction at a time that, realistically, it won’t make any difference. There only 2 points from safety and I’d expect them to be back out again before Christmas.

In regards to Chelsea and Man City, Chelsea haven’t broken any rules. Man City are still being investigated and it’s a big investigation. Based on this, if it all goes through and they get found guilty, they actually could be in huge trouble

Chelsea haven’t done anything wrong but the way they’ve split up their finances essentially places financial restrictions on themselves for the next 5 years at least. They’ve basically handicapped themselves

Crazy how this can happen to everton but city have over 150 cases against them and nothing has happened yet so surely if everton have had a 10 point deduction chelsea and man city should be relagated

Don't punish City. Punish Chelsea for everything. Make Chelsea an example, not other clubs.

    Everton don't deserve this.

Problem with the whole thing is that the FANS get punished.
Problem is it’s all geared towards the big teams to stop blackburns, Leicesters, Newcastle from braking into the elite no matter how much money you have, Newcastle have to make room again this year to really break into it. Man Utd have spent/ wasted so much money , spent more than City but it’s allowed because they’re massive, if pep was at united they would be top of the league playing good football any other club would be relegated . Man Utd and Real Madrid can spent what they like. City will get what’s coming but Everton lied about money that was coming but it didn’t. Shame for the fans for a poor ex owner . If these owners want to over spend they should pay all wages up front to premier league to show they can manage it.

10 points, at this stage of the season isnt excessive. The punishment needs to be a deterrent. They were £125mill in the red AFTER writing off millions to covid and the stadium etc. The club isnt being well managed financially… middlesbrough got docked 3 points and relegated because they couldnt field a team because of sickness, 10 points for this seem reasonable

Jamie is 100% still a massive Everton fan

I wouldn’t be mad at this if every club was treated the same under ffp rules but it seems as though Man City and Chelsea can get away with it.
