Will Henry play over hickey?
Villa fan here. Agree you don't often see two left foot CB's play together but that spot is 100% Mings' to lose. Gerrard made a HUGE mistake dropping him and giving the captaincy to McGinn (who, to be fair, has now grown into the role). He's a leader and a fan favourite. Based on current form, service to the club and the love he gets from fans, Emery would be foolish to rush and replace him from the get go. That said, Emery has CLEARLY bought Pau in for a reason. He's obviously one of his favourites and he absolutely intends to use him. Personally, I'm staying clear of both until the bigger picture emerges. Think Villa will be tough defensively this season though. Also surprised everyone's forgotten Moreno.
In my team I don't have Gabriel because I have Anderson and Torres because they rotate very nicely
Why are they advising to buy Mbeumo if the first two rounds are not favorable? I'd rather buy it for the third round…

I'm very intrigued by the Alex Moreno option, and am surprised he isn't even in the conversation. He has very good potential for assists, will likely start most weeks, and should get some clean sheets in an improved Emery defense.

Problem with udogie is he not really a natural left back he is far better in a lwb roll in a back 3 where postecoglu tends to play a back 4

You don’t think villa will play 2 left footed centre backs but you think they’ll play mings and Torres then bench cash for konsa?
I think Torres has a big chance of being rotation risk
You forgot to mention Hickey in the Brentford section… Nailed at RB and same price as Pinnock and Henry
Don’t trust Botman’s ownership. If people start moving money around and move off him up to a 5.0 he’ll lose value.

Not playing Pep Roulette, not picking minute/injury risk players, minimising European rotations, not picking new players to the league bar for 4.0 defender. Leno as Brighton/Brentford #1 unkown anddon't want Everton double up. Pau Torres, Botman, Anderson and Colwill on watchlist for 4.5 places.
My replacement for Sterling/Maddison poor form/injury is Douglas Luiz. He'll outscore Mitoma and MBeumo this season.
I like Chelsea defense at 4.5m. Also, I wouldn't say Chelsea were "awful" defensively last season. It would surprise a lot of people that at one point they had the second best defense in the league, all that changed when Lampard came in. 😪
Pinnock will play every week. He signed a new 4 year contract in May and is one of their best players. Mee is most likely to be dropped.
We have been gifted a bunch of starting 4m defenders this year. All we had last year was Neco Williams. I'm defo going 352 with two 4m defenders. This allows me to creep in a 5.5m striker instead of a 4.5m one
Spence could possibly be an option for 4m Defender option as well. Depends on Pre Season of course.

I was watching the CONCACAF Gold Cup and Bell was always up the pitch and play making on the left. Obviously you aren’t getting a Luton defender for clean sheets & you get them for the price and potential attacking upside and he definitely has that.
Does the Beyer / Bell blank in GW2 pose a significant risk to their value? (Millions of casuals selling them for the short term)

As a brentford fan this season id pick henry over pinnock as we’re moving away from the back 5. Both hickey and henry will be playing more attacking roles
After the fixtures gets good for newcastle Howe will start rotating the team..I will keep botman far away from my team

Colwill is gonna be playing regularly I’m very sure of that so he’ll be a great 4.5 option.
I wouldnt be surprised if Branthwaite is starter for Everton coming off a decent season at PSV and Coady leaving. Would be great even as a bench option at 4m
I will buy Botman when he is down to 4.3m in gw 8 😂. Anderson from Palace maybe going to Newcastle. Palace have a lined up Schuurs from Torino as the replacement. Beating Liverpool to his signature. Anderson to compete with Schur. RCB
Jarrad was also quite attack minded at PSV, however reports are he wants to return to Eindhoven next season!

Everton have signed Ashley Young! Bogle came from my club Derby and is a brilliant attacking (goalscoring) FB/Wing-back. But I see Heckingbottom as a conservative manager in the Prem and will play more defensively, plus the Bosnian centre-back is the guy who goes on surging forward runs
If we had unlimited budget, and we exclude salah, trent and Kane, the 'dream team' best 11 is the same best 11 we can already afford when we do have a budget.
Luton-Burnley i second round is postponed
Why is nobody talking about Dan Burn? 4,5 mil and got low ownership (no risk for droping price). Isn't he a starter at the LB for Newcastle? It just seems to me that he is a better pick than Botman.
Bell and Beyer seem the best safe bets at £4m on the bench. Great video as always Andy! 😀
Surprised no one has talked about Ahmedhodzic, obviously Sheffield United are expected to struggle but if they can somehow become a secure lower midtable side he’ll definitely be at the front of that with contributions at both ends (massive goal threat and makes numerous defensive actions a game which is good for bonus) – Palace (H), Forest (A) and Everton (H) in first 4 and could always switch to Botman/Brentford/Villa after those 4
If you’re talking about Cash potentially losing minutes to a CB in konsa, surely even if Torres is first choice he will lose just as many minutes to Tyrone Mings?
I'd be shocked if both Newcastle and Arsenal are as good as they were last season.

Gusto for 4m is a great option, not guaranteed minutes. But with Reece James injury problems, he’s a very decent backup.
