I am giving you an explanation based on the league it is played by 20 teams and any team that desire to win the league can do it and not depend on People outside of the pitch and they don't play only judge and want to goes as they wish and positioning clubs according to their money spend . That is not football for players

Newcastle would be a close second for me. Howe didn't spend a shtload of oil money buying every superstar on the block and he made do with a majority of Englishmen who barely starts a game for England. And then there is Brighton and, considering how bad they were when Emery took over, Villa. The biggest shock would be how badly Chelsea has done with the mega money they spent. BTW, where's the all that previous talk about which is more surprising, Newcastle in fourth or Fulham in sixth. Fulham in sixth was a blip because they played more games than those around them. When the games evened out they ended up mid table. A more than decent performance but as you can see nobody talks about them now.

One win against City and Arsenal would now be champions. Think about that.

The biggest surprise for me is that Manchester City are not up for the quadruple this season?
They lost to Southampton in the EFL Cup, Pep played a weakened team due to a looming UCL game I think. However that's no excuse for City IMO. We should be able to put out 3 or 4 of our 1st 11 and 6 or 7 squad players and the odd u21 players and beat Southampton. It goes to show the strength of the EPL IMO?
