No player is making club decisions now based on what may or may not happen at the 2026 World Cup. Maybe in 2025 they will, but not in 2022 or even 2023. If Palace offers Haji a pay raise – he's probably just going to take it regardless of what it means for playing time or his development. It's silly to pretend otherwise.
Yeah based off what I saw in the WC he’s not got the quality for the EPL…14 goals in 32 apps in TURKEY hardly seems to translate into a Premier League striker. That being said some middle/lower EPL club will probably overpay for him so he can sit on the bench and leave on a Free Transfer in 2-3 years.
Too many USMNT players in the premier league. Have some play in Bundasliga and split them in league. Like the league in Belgium
No
Easy. N O
Unfortunately his not EPL or any of the top 4 league in europa , same thing. Happen with pepi , VENDE HUMOS!
The Haji Wright slander in the comments is crazy, the guy’s a solid player. However, I don’t think that Crystal Palace is necessarily the right move for him, but Antalyaspor’s going to sell to the highest bidder Haji doesn’t have too much of a choice but to go unless there’s multiple bids at the same price.
The one game I saw him in the World Cup, he did no defending or pressing. That’s certainly not his whole game but, I was wondering why he made the cut after that game.
I don't get the hate by so many for Haji. If all you've seen of him is the WC, then you're missing out on a lot. He's only 24, still improving and has been impressive scoring in Turkey. And speaking of the WC, yes his game against Iran when he came on as a sub was awful, there's no question about that. But he was decent/good in both his start against England and his sub appearance against the Dutch. He just doesn't look as fluid or move "naturally" like other players (which is why I think a lot of people don't rate him), but his movement is significantly underrated and if you go back and look at the England and Dutch games, he was making Maguire and VVD actually run and work and Haji on different occasions beat both to spots, which is VERY impressive imo. In a few years people will look back at their current Haji takes and look silly imo.
Having said that, I think Crystal Palace would be too big of a jump today. I would love to see him go to Serie A and refine some other aspects of his game for a couple of years before going to the PL, which I do believe there's a good chance that would happen.
He looked like the worse player at the World Cup. Clueless
Good move for his development.
He was the player for me that looked like a fan wandered in and started playing. I seriously doubt berhalters judgment that he played him regularly.
Short answer: no
He looked completely confused at the wc
N…..O…….
If he works hard, he can make it.
He's better starting in the Bundesliga or French League before the Premier League
I think Atalanta in Serie A is a better option if their interest is true. Not as tough but still top league and a Good side with main striker options over 30 now.
He would have a hard time, I was not convinced with his performance at the Worldcup. The lucky goal against The Netherlands doesn't change my mind
he should go to the championship
LOL – he looked horrible at the world cup
No
No
Uh he looked terrible in the WC so why does CP want him lol
Haji wright antalyada oynuyo
No.
10m ?? What Mexican pesos maybe
Funny thing is of the US players, I was sometimes harsh on one. Only later I realized his age. Yunus Musah.. holy smoke, looking back, what an upside he has.
