Hougang not consistent this season. At the league half way point, I rate this team 6/10. LCS have been more stable and growing stronger in each match and I rate them 8/10 after half way point.

Hougang Standout performances:
Shawal Anuar: Amount of times he left Nur Adam dead – 6. Nur Adam was getting frustrated by how Shawal simply tore the right wing apart.
Jordan Vestering: I even forgot that Gabriel Quak was even on the pitch. Also kept Hafiz Nor quiet the entire game. The amount of goalbound chances he saved was emaculate; he even outjumped KSW twice.
Mukundan Maran: First time as a Hougang fan I felt relaxed with Mukun in goal. COuld have done better saving the LCS goal, but lets not forget he saved quite alot of goalbound chances
Kiki Krajcek: To me, is Hougang's beating heart and soul. For 90 mins, he bossed around the left wing, even went through the middle. Should have scored a brace at the end, too selfish at times. The altercation between him and Pedro Bortoluzo at the full time whistle showed me the commitment of the players of how much they should have won the game at the end.
Hougang could have won the game if not for Hassan Sunny and their players' selfishness, but let's not forget this game was the return of the old Hougang, the semangat and their direct counter attack football of previous seasons.
My personal MOTM: Shawal Anuar. One of the best wingers in the league, if he was five years younger, Singapore would have one hell of a winger.
Hougang will regret not to beat LCS in this game.
Absolutely entertaining to watch. Hougang have been rejuvenated since AFC Cup, may their form continue, great stuff Hougang!

LCS play better without Number 9.Maybe need to look for new striker for attacking option,Hougang United give us a hard time.Their defence is solid like rock.

I think LCS lack fluidity whenever KSW is on the field. No offense to him, great player, but I think LCS should look at a striker who has a similar profile to Stipe if they continue to set up this way.
Great game of football between LCS and Hougang. Pleasure to call the game. Been critical of Hougang, but this is the Hougang that we would love to see more of.
