My first thought wasn’t a plot and more of Coventry getting the guy, Madrid offering a decent profit and them just taking the opportunity
Maybe he didn't know about the Real Madrid offer untill he went to Coventry. And any player would prefer to play for Real Madrid than Coventry
He managed Northeast United FC in 2019-20 season ❤
talk about how Fortuna Düsseldorf bought the top scorer of 2. Bundesliga Tzolis from Norwich and just sold him off to Club Brugge within days
David Unsworth I believe was an Aston Villa player for one month. Also in 1998 (before the season had started). At some point new rules came in that said you have to spend a minimum of 6 months at your new club before you can join another club.
Of course its always possible to buy a player without the original parent wanting like this but the cost of it this publicity is a bigger drawback
Chelsea would still sign a whole army of players even if the transfer period was this short. 😂
I loved doing the same thing in FIFA 13 in a player career mode.
Rank up -> Go to a better, but not the best club -> After a week go even higher
I commented about Jarni on your transfer flip video and here it is, I like to think my comment was the inspiration for this Short 😂
How dare you call my beloved Coventry City the 'perennial strugglers.'
Just because it's true doesn't mean you're allowed to say it.
😂
😉
A North Korean footballer stayed at Juve for 6 days and then had to leave to Qatar 'cause of Uefa and North Korea
To be honest, I’m surprised more of this doesn’t happen
FIFA lied to me, you can buy and sell a player in the same transfer window.
Call it a transfer triangle 😂😂😂
Wait this guy preffered the idea of living in madrid to living in cov?? Cant help some people i suppose..
… It's like the Frank Rijkaard five minutes transfer to Sporting CP of Lisbon from AFC Ajax of Amsterdam…
Kind of similar to David Unsworth. He transferred from West Ham to Aston Villa that same summer, only to move back to Everton about a week later because his wife couldn't settle outside of Liverpool.
I remember Jarni from his Torino and Juventus days. One of the fastest football players around back in the day. Amazing player 😊
only to be sold to second division Las Palmas a year later…
I wonder if United could've done something like this for Todibo from Nice
I remember this.
Coventry City cheetahs in the football league
Surety Obi Mikel to United then straight to Chelsea… was stranger…
Erm what the DuckDuckGo
In 1985, Hugo Sánchez went from Atlético Madrid to his childhood team UNAM (from Mexico) and then, two weeks later, he was transferred to Real Madrid.
Years later, the truth was revealed: Everything was done on the same day, on a Madrid bank: Atleti and UNAM officials signed the transfer on one floor, then those UNAM officials went to another floor to meet Real's to sign the ensuing transfer. Then, just for the show, Hugo would go two weeks to Mexico.
All of this was done because Atleti's board knew the fans would get really angry if they sold one of their best players to Real directly, and Hugo himself suggested going with UNAM to make the charade.
Let them cook…the books!😅
800k 🔥
Didn't David Unsworth do something similar?
I remember this guy when he was a coach for Northeast United in Indian Super League. Didn't last long in the job either😂
Unsworth to Villa. missus didn't like the midlands and didn't fancy a daily commute from up north 😂
